Simple Honey Cake Recipe! 🍯

Ingredients:
Unsalted butter (melted) – 1/2 cup
Raw honey – 1/2 cup
Large eggs – 2
Brown sugar – 1/2 cup
All-purpose flour – 1 cup
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
Orange juice – 2 tbsp (optional)
Orange zest – 1 to 2 tsp (optional)
Black coffee – 2 tsp (optional)
Nuts of your choice (optional)
Method:
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease your loaf pan with butter.
In a large bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: melted butter, honey, eggs, brown sugar, milk (if using), vanilla extract, orange juice, orange zest, and coffee.
In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, salt, and baking powder.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. If desired, sprinkle nuts of your choice on top.
Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
(Optional) Drizzle honey on top of the cake after baking for an extra honey flavor.
Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving.
Notes:
The orange zest and juice add a lovely citrusy freshness to the cake. I'd definitely recommend including them if you enjoy that flavor.
You can customize this recipe with your favorite nuts, such as walnuts or almonds.
